1. Showcasing the value of your work
The number one pain point that we surveyed from our Atlanta event attendees was showing ROI on their work. Our keynote speaker, Jason Anthoine, spoke on showing the value of what you do and providing outputs that sizzle.
The value of your brand is built from the inside out, and who knows it better than internal communicators?
With over 30 years of experience in internal communications, culture change, and employee engagement, Anthoine believes that companies can sometimes focus too externally. “If we treat our customers like we do our employees, we wouldn’t have any customers,” says Anthoine.
2. Effective Comms Strategy = Cross-functional Comm
The Crowne Plaza Accelerate is a top priority to the InterContinental Hotels Group, who has invested $200 million to-date in the program. Jason Rollins, Director of Upscale PR at IHG, joined us for a Fireside Chat to discuss how internal comms fueled the transformation of the Crowne Plaza brand and the tools he used.
Through creating a bi-weekly newsletter, Brand Matters, Rollins and his team are able to provide valuable, performance-driving resources for hotel teams and establish open lines of communications with outside departments.
Employees now have a seat at the table with the Crowne Plaza Leadership Team, who now understands the critical importance of communications.
